Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of GMotion Data, including its mobile app, Garmin Connect IQ watch app, website, and related features. GMotion Data is provided by Li2Niu (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By using the product, you agree to these Terms.

1. Product purpose

GMotion Data lets you initiate accelerometer recordings on a compatible Garmin watch, relay them to a companion phone, inspect descriptive signal views, and export session files. Compatibility, sampling capability, available storage, and background behavior vary by watch, phone, operating-system version, Garmin software, and connection conditions.

GMotion Data is a measurement utility. It is not a medical device, a safety system, or a substitute for professional medical, clinical, ergonomic, or engineering judgment. Descriptive motion features and activity-like labels are estimates and may be incomplete or wrong.

2. Eligibility and account responsibility

You must be legally able to enter into these Terms. If you use GMotion Data for an organization, you confirm that you have authority to accept these Terms for that organization.

You are responsible for access to your phone, watch, platform store account, exported files, and any destination where you place those files.

3. License

Subject to these Terms and any applicable Apple App Store or Google Play rules, we grant you a limited, personal or internal-business, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use GMotion Data. You may use your own exports in your research, analysis, or workflow. The license does not transfer ownership of the app, its design, or its source code.

You may not reverse engineer the app except where applicable law expressly permits it, bypass purchase controls, interfere with the service, use it to violate law or another person’s rights, or redistribute the app as your own product.

4. Plans and purchases

GMotion Data may offer the following access options in U.S. dollars:

• Monthly: $29 per month.
• Annual: $69 per year.
• Lifetime: $99 as a one-time purchase.

The platform store purchase screen shows the final local price, taxes, currency, trial (if any), and availability before you confirm. If a displayed price conflicts with the store purchase screen, the store price controls.

Monthly and annual subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled before the end of the current period, subject to the platform store’s then-current rules. Apple or Google charges your store account and manages cancellation, billing, and refunds. You can manage a subscription in your Apple App Store or Google Play account settings.

“Lifetime” means access to the purchased GMotion Data entitlement for as long as we commercially offer and technically support the product. It does not guarantee perpetual availability of the app, third-party services, particular Garmin devices, or future operating-system compatibility.

5. Your recordings and exports

You retain your rights in recordings and labels you create. You give us no right to use a locally stored recording merely because you created it. If you send data to support, you permit us to use it only to investigate the request, maintain security, and improve reliability related to that issue.

You are responsible for determining whether you have the permission needed to record, analyze, or share data about another person. You are also responsible for backing up exports you need and for verifying a session’s completeness, timestamps, gaps, and fitness for your intended use.

6. Data continuity and accuracy

Wearable sensor capture is affected by battery state, device limits, app lifecycle, Bluetooth and companion connectivity, movement, and software updates. The product attempts to expose known gaps and timing uncertainty, but it cannot guarantee uninterrupted delivery, exact absolute time, or recovery after every interruption. Do not use GMotion Data where a missed, delayed, or incorrect sample could cause injury or material damage.

7. Third-party products

GMotion Data relies on products and services provided by Garmin, Apple, Google, RevenueCat, and hosting providers. Their terms and policies apply to their products. We do not control changes to their hardware, software, review requirements, stores, or service availability.

Garmin and Connect IQ are trademarks of Garmin Ltd. or its subsidiaries. GMotion Data is not an official Garmin product unless expressly stated otherwise.

8. Availability and changes

We may update, add, remove, or discontinue features to improve reliability, security, compatibility, or the product offering. We may suspend access when reasonably necessary to address abuse, security risk, legal requirements, or a material violation of these Terms.

9. Disclaimer

To the extent permitted by law, GMotion Data is provided “as is” and “as available.” We disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and uninterrupted or error-free operation. Nothing in these Terms excludes a warranty or consumer right that cannot legally be excluded.

10. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, Li2Niu and its contributors will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, revenue, or opportunity arising from GMotion Data. Our aggregate liability for claims relating to the product will not exceed the amount you paid for GMotion Data during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. These limits do not apply where the law does not allow them.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. We will post the revised version and update the effective date. Continued use after revised Terms take effect means you accept them. If you do not agree, stop using the product and cancel any renewing subscription through your platform store.
